Lee & Associates Brokers QuikTrip Distribution Warehouse in Midlothian
MIDLOTHIAN, Texas—July 13, 2010—Lee & Associates has negotiated the sale of the 316,031-square-foot industrial facility at 4200 Railport Parkway in Midlothian. The exact amount of the transaction is not available, but according to local sources, the sale price was in excess of $10 million.
Trey Fricke and Reid Bassinger of Lee & Associates’ Dallas/Fort Worth office represented the seller, Kehe Food Distributors in selling the property to the buyer, QuikTrip Corporation.
According to Fricke, the deal was an ideal scenario for each party as Kehe was looking to dispose of a specialized facility and QuikTrip was looking for a specialized food distribution facility. With 72-foot ceilings, this building is one of the highest single story buildings in Texas.
Jesse Pruitt with Somervell Commercial Realty and Chris Teesdale with Colliers International represented the buyer.
The warehouse will serve the 85 regional currently operating QuikTrip stores and an additional 15 in which the company intends to add over the next three years. The building contains a state-of-the-art freezer, cooler and dry storage unit that is racked at 72 feet.
