LEE & ASSOCIATES OPENS LONG BEACH OFFICE
Industry veteran Greg Gill named as president; Office opens with a team of 10 brokers
Lee & Associates, one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the country, has announced plans to officially open a Long Beach office on November 15. Greg Gill, a 40-year-plus commercial real estate veteran, has been tapped as president for the firm’s South Bay operations, which includes overseeing this new office and the existing South Bay office.
Gill, who previously was executive managing officer of the Long Beach and Orange County offices of Charles Dunn Company, forms the new group. This opening further expands Lee & Associates’ recently-added locations in Boise, New Jersey, and Chicago to 40 offices across the country.
“The South Bay area of Los Angeles is one of the most significant submarkets in the Southern California geographic region,” emphasized Gill. “With the two major ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as well as LAX Airport, it is one of the most vibrant and robust markets, even in the current economy. In fact, sales and leasing activity actually increased slightly in the third quarter here. With the Lee platform—which focuses on regional expertise, yet national reach—along with our excellent team of brokers in both Gardena and now the Long Beach location, we have created a strong presence throughout the South Bay that will secure the Lee name throughout this geographical region.”
A well-known Southern California industry icon, Gill has been entrenched in the South Bay region of real estate for more than 40 years. His prior positions include serving as executive managing officer of the Long Beach and Orange County offices of Charles Dunn, as well as president of Newmark & Company; he also spent 30 years with Matlow-Kennedy Commercial Real Estate, where he last served as chairman and CEO.
“We are excited to have Greg join our organization,” said Edward Indvik, chairman of the Lee advisory board and vice chairman of Lee & Associates’ investment services group. “He is one of the region’s most respected brokers. He and the others coming to Lee to establish our office in Long Beach is a continuation of long term plans to expand our footprint in all the meaningful submarkets throughout the United States.”
Some of the brokers joining the Lee team include Jeff Coburn and Shaun McCullough, both office and industrial market experts coming in as senior vice presidents and principals; Brandon Carrillo, Josh Reilly, Garrett Massaro and Barbara Goldsmith.
The office opens with full service of the industrial and office markets. Jerry Evans, the past president of the South Bay office, remains a principal and is now a senior vice president.
