The\u00a0Lee & Associates\u00a0<\/strong>Washington, D.C.\/Northern Virginia regional office has recently expanded to six full-time professionals, including the recruitment of three new brokers with extensive local experience and relationships. They join\u00a0Josh\u00a0<\/strong>Simon<\/strong>, President of the new office which opened last summer and\u00a0Pierce\u00a0<\/strong>Kruetzer<\/strong>, Principal, along with a Director of Marketing. Lee & Associates is the largest broker-owned commercial real estate firm in North America with 70 full-time offices, with Lee\u2019s most recent expansion efforts occurring on the East Coast. In addition to Washington, D.C., Lee & Associates will be announcing a new Northeast office, in addition to the newly-formed Raleigh, NC, and Toronto offices. The new DC\/Northern Virginia office located to\u00a0800 Maine Avenue<\/strong>\u00a0within\u00a0The\u00a0<\/strong>Wharf\u00a0<\/strong>in southwest Washington, D.C. late last year.<\/p>\n The recently-added brokerage team consists of\u00a0Roy\u00a0<\/strong>Hill<\/strong>, as Senior Director, a 15-year veteran who formerly worked with The Genau Group, and previously Streetsense.;\u00a0Patrick\u00a0<\/strong>Scanlon<\/strong>, as Director, who was associated with CBRE and brings more than six years of experience; and\u00a0John\u00a0<\/strong>Colan\u00a0<\/strong>as Associate.\u00a0Rachel\u00a0<\/strong>Jones\u00a0<\/strong>joins the brokerage firm as Director of Marketing and the regional office is currently engaged in \u201cactive discussions to bring several more agents to the team including another prominent brokerage professional,\u201d according to Simon.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have quickly amassed a powerhouse group of professionals with depth of experience across all property product types, that will enable our platform to secure new assignments and compete alongside peer brokerage firms of any type and size,\u201d explained\u00a0Josh\u00a0<\/strong>Simon\u00a0<\/strong>of Lee & Associates. \u201cOur intentions are to focus next on the expansion of our Investments Division with the recruitment of professionals specializing in the multifamily, land development and commercial office sectors. This group will integrate with our existing team, as well as the Lee National Investment Group which has experienced enormous growth nationally of late. Growing the tenant representation group is another priority, as we have tremendous respect for the efforts of MGA; West, Lane & Schlager and The Tenant Agency. Combined with the resources that a national platform provides, we have confidence in our ability to compete and exceed the quality of services provided by these firms.\u201d<\/p>\n Hill has completed transactions valued at more than $600 million throughout his career, with involvement in notable sales such as 5929 Georgia Avenue that now features a Walmart Supercenter and the Starbucks Coffee-anchored retail project in Chinatown, with a typical sale transacting in the $2 to $10 million range. Attracting this professional who focuses on urban sites in downtown Washington, D.C., \u201celevates Lee & Associates to another plane,\u201d according to Simon.<\/p>\n \u201cIronically, our careers crossed when we worked together at Grubb & Ellis approximately 10 years ago, and Roy is considered among the most knowledgeable, experienced and connected professional in the local real estate industry,\u201d Simon added. \u201cWe were particularly drawn to his success selling retail and mixed-use projects in downtown, and he represents a significant addition to our Investments Division including mentoring our younger professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n
