Plymouth Meeting, PA — Lee & Associates of Eastern Pennsylvania announced that Arthur Deussing has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, specializing in industrial real estate in the Philadelphia market.

Deussing has worked in commercial real estate since 2003, spending nearly two decades with The Prestige Group, where he served as Executive Vice President. His practice has focused on industrial real estate throughout the Philadelphia market, representing property owners, occupiers, buyers and tenants across a range of sale and lease transactions.

The move to Lee & Associates provides Deussing with a broader platform to continue serving his existing client base while expanding his business beyond his traditional Philadelphia focus and into the surrounding suburban markets.

“I’ve built my business by knowing the market, being responsive and doing right by the client,” said Deussing.“Lee gives me the opportunity to build on that with a strong brokerage platform and research and marketing resources behind me. It felt like the right fit for where I want to take my business next.”

Deussing has built a significant portion of his practice through repeat and referral business, an approach he attributes to treating each transaction with the same attention he would give his own. Prompt communication, market knowledge and a willingness to work through the challenges necessary to get a transaction completed remain central to the way he advises clients.

Over the course of his career, Deussing has seen Philadelphia’s industrial landscape evolve considerably. The market has shifted from a landscape more heavily characterized by owner-users to one with significantly greater institutional and outside investor ownership, changing both property values and the dynamics facing local businesses seeking industrial space.

That experience informs how Deussing views the current market and the opportunities ahead.

“There has been a tremendous amount of outside capital that has come into Philadelphia over the years, and that has changed the ownership and pricing landscape,” Deussing said. “Today, I think there are opportunities for buyers and tenants, as well as opportunities to create value as the market adjusts to some of the pressures of the past few years.”

While Deussing’s business has historically been concentrated in Philadelphia, joining Lee & Associates creates an opportunity to extend that reach into the surrounding suburbs while bringing his existing market knowledge and relationships to the firm’s broader industrial platform.

Prior to entering commercial real estate, Deussing worked as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, where he managed client assets and received the company’s National Sales Director Award. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
