DARATH MACKIE VOLUNTEERS WITH NON-PROFIT, WOMEN IN ARCHITECTURE (WIA), AT ANDERSON UNIVERSITY TO REVIEW STUDENT PORTFOLIO’S AND RESUME’S

This past week our associate, Darath Mackie volunteered her time with the non-profit, Women in Architecture (WIA), to participate in a portfolio and resume review at Anderson University for their interior design students. Mackie is a past Chair of WIA and has been involved in the organization for many years. WIA has an annual partnership with Anderson University’s Interior Design Department and each year they take time to encourage the students and offer professional advice on their portfolio’s and resume’s.

Mackie added, “It is an honor to spend time with these incredibly talented students. They never stop amazing me with their energy and dedication toward a career they love. Anderson University does an outstanding job of giving their design students every opportunity to have an edge on preparing them for the real world. I can’t thank WIA and particularly Catherine Knight enough for including me and giving me the opportunity to participate again this year.”

WIA creates, supports and encourages diverse leadership in education, practice, and community. They enjoy nurturing relationships with allied organizations including related professional groups and architectural educators. Their goals include encouraging young people to pursue design careers and promoting architecture in our community.
