Rosemont, Ill.— July 24, 2023 — Lee & Associates of Illinois is proud to announce that John Sharpe, SIOR, CCIM, LEED-AP was honored with the Bill Lee Award at the Lee & Associates National Summit held this past June in Las Vegas. The award, named for Lee & Associates’ founder Bill Lee, is given annually to an individual who exhibits exceptional leadership both within and outside Lee & Associates. Sharpe co-founded the Illinois office in 2002, has served as the Illinois President since 2017 and is Chairman of the national Board of Directors.
“John is a close friend and confidant of mine,” said Jeff Rinkov, CEO of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services. “John’s character is truly aspirational. He is an incredible ambassador for this company.” Rinkov continued to say Sharpe defines servant leadership and is a selfless, knowledgeable person who puts the company ahead of his own individual pursuits. Sharpe works closely with Rinkov for the company’s national expansion and recruitment efforts. “He is a seasoned, intelligent broker who has made numerous and continuous contributions to improve the company.”
Sharpe has been in commercial real estate for more than 35 years and has earned numerous professional designations including SIOR, CCIM, and LEED AP BD+C. Beyond his work at Lee, Sharpe is involved many charitable organizations. A member since 2005 and president since 2010, Sharpe serves as the President of the Jail Chaplaincy Board of Kenosha County. On a national level, Sharpe works with the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services.
