Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura Transacts Lease to Ventura County Star

Newspaper to relocate its administrative office to the new facility

CAMARILLO, CA – Feb. 14, 2018 – Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura has transacted an 8,727-square-foot lease at Camarillo Business Center VI to Ventura County Star, which will relocate its administrative offices to the new space, according to David Kim, a Lee & Associates principal who executed the 60-month lease on behalf of the building landlord.

Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The property, located at 771 E Daily Drive in Camarillo, is a Class A, high-image office building close to many retail amenities and the Ventura (101) Freeway.

“The building offered a layout that was ideally suited for their use with Freeway exposure close to their former location,” Kim said.

The Star, which was purchased by Gannett Co., Inc. in 2016, last year sold an office building and an industrial facility that once housed its printing operation. The company initially leased back space in the office building, but said at the time that it may lease office space nearby.

Camarillo Business Center, built in 2006, is a seven-building office park.
