SceniX Signs Chelsea Office Lease at 80 Eighth Avenue

AI platform SceniX has signed a Chelsea office lease for the entire 17th floor at GFP Real Estate’s 80 Eighth Ave. — a 5,914 SF, five-year commitment representing one of the neighborhood’s notable AI-tenant deals of the quarter. Dennis Someck and Justin Myers of Lee & Associates NYC represented the tenant in the SceniX Chelsea office lease, which will house the robotics-simulation company’s general and administrative operations.

Lee & Associates NYC Principals and Executive Managing Directors Dennis Someck and Justin Myers represented AI platform SceniX in a new five-year lease for the entire 17th floor — 5,914 SF — at GFP Real Estate’s 80 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea. SceniX, a hybrid simulation platform that accelerates robotics development and deployment, will use the space for its general and administrative offices.

“Following an extensive search, SceniX chose 80 Eighth Ave. because of the building’s strong fundamentals, the remarkable light throughout the floor and GFP’s flexibility in customizing the space to support our growth,” said Someck.

Built in 1929 and designed by William Whitehall in a neo-gothic style, the 20-story former Banker’s Trust Company Building features a newly renovated lobby and 185,000 SF of commercial space. Matthew Mandell of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord.
