Samudhra Ellery Tower Signs 10K SF Manhattan Debut Lease

Lee & Associates NYC’s Brad Schwarz Brings NJ’s Samudhra to The Ellery for Manhattan Debut

The New York Post reports that Brad Schwarz of Lee & Associates NYC represented Samudhra, the popular Franklin Park, NJ Indian restaurant and lounge, in an approximately 10,000-square-foot lease at The Ellery — the 33-story luxury residential tower at 312 W. 43rd St. developed by Taconic Partners and National Real Estate Advisors. The deal marks Samudhra’s first Manhattan location. Lon Rubackin, Michael Kadosh and Bevan Cohen of CBRE represented the landlord.

The restaurant will occupy space on the Ellery’s West 43rd Street side, with the tower’s taller portion rising above West 42nd Street. The building’s 330 residential units were fully leased within 11 months of opening, and amenities include a rooftop pool and fitness center. The Samudhra lease follows fast-growing grocery chain ALDI’s opening of its first Midtown location at the property in June.

“Our vision has been to create a dynamic mixed-use destination that contributes to the energy of the area, and Samudhra further strengthens the retail and dining mix we’ve curated at the property,” said George Tsapelas, Senior Vice-President at Taconic Partners.
