In his new role, Lanier will focus on retail leasing and development opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Lanier has been a fixture in the Triangle\u2019s commercial real estate industry for more than 30 years. He most recently served as vice president for Lat Purser &amp; Associates\u2019 Raleigh office. Prior to that, he worked with Plaza Associates for 27 years. As vice president with Plaza Associates, Lanier directed the asset management for an $835 million real estate portfolio encompassing more than two million square feet of space across 12 properties in three states. Lanier\u2019s specialties include project leasing, outparcel sales, tenant representation, trade area analysis, shopping center management, and site selection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have Chip join us. He brings a thorough understanding of the Raleigh-Durham retail market and shares our vision of providing exceptional forward-thinking guidance to our clients,\u201d said Moss Withers, SIOR, MBA, CEO and Principal of Lee &amp; Associates Raleigh-Durham. \u201cHis background and experience will strengthen our retail team\u2019s strategic advisory expertise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lanier holds several professional designations, including the Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX), Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves as a volunteer from SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives.
