Downtown Cary is flourishing with new breweries, restaurants, offices, apartments, and a new seven-acre Downtown Cary Park. The Lee, a 21,000 SF, 3-story office building, located in the heart of downtown Cary, completed in July 2023, with Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham headquarters as the major tenant. A new Towne Bank branch will open in the first floor in 2024.<\/p>\n
The Lee, located across from the Downtown Cary Park and the Cary Library, is a tribute to Cary history. Hometown Cary natives, Moss Withers, Lee & Associates\u2019 CEO and founder, and Michelle Rhino Anderson, COO, led the development of the building. The property sits on the edge of Downtown Cary, and the development sparked new interest in this section of downtown, with new high end residential development and proposed commercial development on the way.<\/p>\n
\nSituated at the corner of Walnut Street and Kildaire Farm Road, The Lee presents a modern brick exterior, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and an outdoor third-floor patio with stunning views of the new Downtown Cary Park. The interior of the building blends modern amenities with a throwback vibe, featuring a public lobby with a dynamic LED light wall, a modern open staircase, exposed mechanical systems, and industrial light fixtures. Many of the trees from the property were repurposed throughout the building.<\/p>\n
