Philadelphia, PA (July 11, 2023) – Dwight Hotchkiss, SIOR has been hired by Lee & Associates of Eastern Pennsylvania as its new Executive Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. Formerly President of the Lee & Associates offices in Riverside and Temecula, California, he brings more than 33 years of diversified commercial real estate and brokerage experience to this leadership role.

In his new position, Hotchkiss will manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the more than 40 employees, including nearly 30 full-time commercial real estate brokerage professionals working in the Lee & Associates offices in suburban Philadelphia and greater Harrisburg, as well as the recently-opened Pittsburgh location. His responsibilities will include driving revenue by scaling brokerage talent, accelerating the growth of associate brokers through focused training and mentorship and implementing business planning and execution with the entire team of brokerage professionals.

While President of Lee & Associates of Riverside and Temecula for five years, his initiatives helped drive revenue growth by more than 200 percent to record levels. Prior to this position, Hotchkiss served as National Director of Industrial Services for Colliers International for seven years, and as Executive Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield.

“Dwight’s leadership, track record of success, ability to cultivate talent and oversee the operations of significant commercial real estate brokerage firms is undeniable, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to now have him on our team,” stated Lee & Associates of Eastern Pennsylvania Managing Principal John VanBuskirk. “We have worked with Dwight through the Lee & Associates network for many years and his integrity, passion for the industry, business connections and work ethic are well known. Further, he has the respect of his peers and competitors and is the ideal professional to lead our talented group into the future.”

Hotchkiss relocated to the Philadelphia region more than two years while continuing to serve as President at the Lee & Associates Riverside office. The move was in support of his wife, Dr. Laura Hotchkiss, who was appointed the Head of School for the Academy of Notre Dame De Namur in Villanova.

“With my history of building and growing commercial real estate brokerage organizations, this represents an amazing opportunity to join a highly respected and successful team serving among the most vibrant real estate markets in the country,” Dwight Hotchkiss explained. “My skill set, background, instincts, and business relationships are perfectly aligned with the Lee & Associates leadership team to continue the strong momentum they have experienced and add new disciplines, including multifamily and retail.

Hotchkiss adds that because he has lived in the suburban Philadelphia area for the past two years, his familiarity with the regional business environment will enable him to quickly engage and make a meaningful impact with the operations of Lee & Associates.

“I am particularly motivated by the prospect of molding the new Pittsburgh office and building market share in that emerging market. Lee & Associates employs a collaborative and empowering business model and this office fully intends to out-work and out-perform every national player to the benefit of our clients.”

Hotckhiss earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and is a member of SIOR and NAIOP. He has served as a Board Member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Albert & Elaine Borchard Foundation, and the Thrive in Joy Nick Fagnano Foundation.
