INDIANAPOLIS, August 24, 2021 — Becknell Industrial is pleased to announce it has purchased a 58.24-acre tract off Bowen Road and Highway 29 in the I-85 South submarket of metro Atlanta, Georgia. Becknell Industrial intends to construct a Class A industrial distribution facility totaling approximately 686,038 square feet.  Palmetto Distribution Center will be a cross-docked facility scheduled to be complete in June 2022.  Catering to the corporate user, the building will be developed with state-of-the-art features including 40’ minimum ceiling clear height, ample car and on-site trailer parking, ESFR sprinkler systems, LED lighting with motion sensors, and sufficient dock packages to meet market demand.

Located in the City of Palmetto, in Fulton County, the site is 3.5 miles to the CSX Fairburn Intermodal facility and 15.6 miles to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.  The project and its future tenant will benefit from very favorable incentives.  The future occupant will benefit from the Less Developed Census Tract status which provides very favorable tax credits to companies bringing to jobs and also the Fulton County revenue for bond title programs which abates a portion of property taxes over 10 years.
