‘Turnkey’ school building in Fanwood on the market for sale or lease, Lee & Associates says

The site of a 36,000-square-foot school building in Fanwood is on the market for sale or lease, in a newly announced offering by Lee & Associates New Jersey.

According to the brokerage team, the facility at 330 South Ave. currently operates as a New Jersey Department of Education-approved private school for students with disabilities. It also provides a location with strong demographics and transportation access, adding to its appeal as a turnkey school building or another opportunity.

“The site is also well suited for redevelopment,” said Lee & Associates’ Beth Chezmar, who is leading the assignment alongside Erica Davidson. “This prime Union County location could potentially make an excellent alternative use play for a multifamily investor, for example.”

They noted that 330 South Ave. serves a growing population of about 291,000 people within a five-mile radius and is close to NJ Transit’s Fanwood train station, commuter bus service and a host of local amenities such as parks, a post office, a pharmacy and dining options. Nearby highways include routes 22 and 28 and Interstate 78, while the property is minutes from the communities of Scotch Plains, Westfield, Cranford and Plainfield.
