Rocky Gonzalez is a Chief Engineer at Lee & Associates – Houston, Rocky Gonzalez has been in the industry for over 30 years, overseeing the operations of commercial high-rise buildings throughout his career. During his ten-year tenure at 2100 West Loop South, the building changed ownership three times. Thanks to his dedication and building expertise, he was retained during each transition. When Category 4 Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Houston, TX on August 25, 2017, Rocky’s commitment and work ethic ensured that the building’s central plant remained flood-free, even as surrounding buildings in the Galleria area experienced heavy flooding. Rocky has also managed building operations, demonstrating expertise in operations management, leadership, budget management, capital budgeting, and construction safety.

His certifications include Leadership Survival Skills for Law Enforcement Officers & Supervisors, diplomas from the University of Houston Downtown Criminal Justice Center Law Enforcement Academy (1997), a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standard and Education Peace Basic Officer License, and a 132-hour Online Continuing Education (OSHA) Occupational Safety & Health Training program. Additionally, Rocky completed a continuing education program at the Houston Community College (SEAS) Stationary Engineers Apprenticeship School, earning System Maintenance Technician Certifications. He also holds a COH Stationary Engineering 3rd-grade Boiler certification and a 2024 State of Texas Apprentice Electrician License.
