Mary Doetterl serves as Research Director at Lee & Associates – Houston, bringing more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate research and market strategy. She partners closely with the firm’s market leaders and brokerage teams to drive strategic research initiatives, strengthen data collection efforts, and deliver actionable insights that support business development and informed decision-making.

Mary leads the Houston research platform, overseeing all phases of the research process from data acquisition and validation to quality control and market reporting. Under her leadership, the team consistently produces accurate, high-quality research and comprehensive market intelligence across the industrial, office, and retail sectors at both the local and national levels.

In addition to directing research operations, Mary oversees the firm’s Summer Internship Program, mentoring emerging professionals and fostering the next generation of commercial real estate talent.

Prior to joining Lee & Associates – Houston, Mary led the industrial research team at Cushman & Wakefield and managed market research and marketing initiatives for Liberty Property Trust’s industrial leasing and development teams. Her extensive and diverse background has earned her a respected reputation as a trusted leader in commercial real estate research.
