Benjamin Key serves as Principal at Lee & Associates South Florida, bringing a distinguished background in real estate management and brokerage. Specializing in value-add assets acquisition and disposition, Ben exemplifies an expertise in the transformation of underperforming properties. Ben has excelled in building and nurturing relationships with both existing and new tenants, along with the ability to revive struggling properties ensuring their continued success and income generation.
Prior to Joining Lee & Associates, Ben was the founder and principal of BKRE, LLC (formerly Ben Key Real Estate), where Ben had honed a unique approach to property management and turnaround strategies. Starting in Houston in 2006, the company expanded to Florida in 2016 while maintaining a close-knit relationship with property owners and implementing a hands-on management philosophy. Benjamin's emphasis on consistent communication and a same-day response policy sets him apart in an industry where prompt and effective communication can make a significant difference. Prior to forming BKRE, LLC, Ben worked as a Broker Associate for Indermuele & Company as well as Republic Central Realty, Inc were he honed his skillsets in Sales, Leasing and Management of Commercial Real Estate Assets. Ben's years in property management has allowed him to cultivate strong relationships with a network of vendors to benefit his clients, including landscapers, roofers, electricians, and contractors. This strategic collaboration ensures the seamless operation and maintenance of properties under his purview.
Benjamin Key graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), focused on Business Administration and Management from Texas State University, and also acquired a certification in commercial leasing from the International Council of Shopping Centers at John T Riordan, Michigan State University.
