Job Summary

A Research Analyst is responsible for collecting accurate market information and proactively maintaining the company’s proprietary database. Information gathered will include commercial real estate properties available for lease and sale, tracking completed lease and sale transactions, , identify tenants with lease expiring in next 6 -24 months, data economics (to include asking lease rates, current operating expenses, occupancy/vacancy rate, amenities, etc.) developments under construction/pipeline along with tenant/buyer information. Interpreting data collected for quarterly statistical reporting along with any “ad-hoc” analysis.

Job Description

  • Assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of the local commercial real estate market and leverage that knowledge proactively for research market reports, client projects and business development efforts.
  • Continuously seek out new research methods and tools to enhance data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify research needs and provide support for projects and initiatives.
  • Stack buildings, target Class A & B properties over 100,000 square feet.
  • Participate in property tours and stacking plans for properties.
  • Coordinate tour packets, case study, prospecting material, and sales pitch materials.
  • Prepare quarterly statistical market reports.
  • Identify market trends.
  • Compile and organize findings in graphs, charts, mock-ups, and diagrams.
  • Attend internal broker meetings.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Attend local commercial real estate symposiums.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates an interest in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Strong organizational, data collection, validation, and auditing skills.
  • Highly detailed oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, succeed under pressure and effectively manage time and workload.
  • Ability to commit to lengthy, complex projects.
  • Motivated and self-starting with a desire to succeed and contribute to the success of a team.
  • Be curious by nature and demonstrate the ability to through investigative research.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Proficient in Excel. Pivot tables a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dealius beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Costar, LoopNet and other commercial real estate industry applications.
  • Database operation: ability to efficiently and accurately update and audit data.
  • Intellectual curiosity: desire to invest time and energy in commercial real estate knowledge.
  • Work ethic: proactively gather information and confirm accuracy.
  • Collaborative/team player.
  • Communication: articulate with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Texas Real Estate License a plus, or will need to obtain.
